Kondalilla National Park , Queensland

S1, Episode 1, Rainforests, was inspired by the Kondalilla National Park. It’s one of may favourite places in the world, as it’s a place where is can find peace and tranquility. All senses are catered for here, especially the sense of smell- it smells amazing there!

Kondalilla National Park is located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia, approximately 100 kilometers north of Brisbane. The park boasts a subtropical climate, characterized by warm summers and mild winters, with high rainfall throughout the year. This lush environment supports a diverse range of flora and fauna, including towering eucalyptus and Piccabeen palm trees, as well as an array of wildlife such as koalas, platypus, and over 100 species of birds. The park's breathtaking scenery, including waterfalls, rock pools, and rolling hills, has long been a source of inspiration for artists, who come to capture the beauty and serenity of this natural haven.
